Marketing is about value, so Steve starts in this video that we will show you in a moment.

When i saw this great video of Steve Jobs in his early years , i almost cried at the end.
He puts it in such a way, you just get so emotional.
I just couldn’t wait to write a simple blog post about what i just saw.

Steve’s global marketing strategy paid off, like you all know.
How is it possible for Apple to sell their products at these ridiculous high prices.
Because it’s a valuable brand everyone wants.
Are their products better than their competition ?
No, but they have marketed their products so much better , and build a superior brand.

Now, everyone knows who Apple and Steve Jobs is.

And that’s because Steve knew very well how he needed to brand his products.
He used something we now call attraction marketing techniques
Branding your identity is marketing in its finest form.
What do all great marketing people do these days ?
Yes, they brand themselfs. Not the companies they are in, but they brand their own names !


Hey, if you are still reading, you were probably wondering were’s that damn video !
So here your go.

I just want to take out 1 part he’s discussing in his video.
Let’s take a look.

But the best example of all, and one of the greatest jobs of marketing that the universe has ever seen, is Nike.
Remember, Nike sells a commodity. They sell shoes!!!
And yet, when you think of Nike you feel something different than a shoe company.
In their ads, as you know, they don’t ever talk about the product.
They don’t ever tell you about their air soles and why they are better than Reebok’s air soles.
What does Nike do in their advertising?
They honor great athletes. And they honor great athletics.
That’s who they are, that’s what they are about!

What do you think about that ? Does that change your point of view in marketing ?
They DO NOT SPEAK about their PRODUCT.
They give value to great athletes… They are building a brand that brings value to their users
Another example:

“those people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones that actually do!”

Now that is one powerfull sentence.
Because if you have watched the video, and you think about it, all of these people had a great vision.
They wanted to change the world for the better ! And they did.

Important lesson : if you wan’t something so bad, you are willing to risk it all, you just might succeed.
Failure is not a word in their dictionary.


Now I know some of you will disagree with me, or just look at the message this video serves you entirely different than i did.
But I am sure you will get a lot of value out of this , and are gratefull you have seen how Steve defines value marketing.
